i dont think it matters too much but i think if your just starting in this industry it deff helps make you look good like you getting a co-sign

I think that if an artist is featuring others on their work, then they thought that particular part really added to the song, so in that aspect it is what it was meant to be, making it okay. But there's got to be solo efforts going on too so fans see what they can conjure up by themselves.

I dont mind 1 or 2 features on a CD but when every other song is a featuring this or that person its hard to really tell whos cd its is, Most people buy a CD because they wanna hear that artists work and that artist has gained a reputation with that fan. I'm a big ZRO fan but when I picked up the Meth album I was a lil disappointed because over half the album is ZRO featuring such and such.

It almost feels especially when major labels are involved that other artists usually labelmates are being forced onto you.If its a feature of another artist you like and respect that's all and good but im tired of seeing POP artists featuring on rap cds,I'm not listenin to someone like Drake or Brittany cuz I aint tryin ta hear what they talkin bout its trash ta me so I really dont wanna see them on my favorite rappers cds. All features aint bad it just depends on what ppl feelin in the end.

a feature is not really a necessity....if an artist thinks that he cant make it without the help of another rapper (normally with more talent) then he definitely doesn't have the belief in him/herself...and if someone doesn't believe in themselves then nobody will...if an established artist does a collabo with someone thats a different story but an up and comer should try to do everything solo unless of course its a group...

Features matter if they actually improve the song. Don't put someone on a song just for the sake of putting someone on a song. Features also turn out good if they entire song is a collaboration from the beginning. Similar to how the entire GYMC album was a collaboration between Cham and Paul.

In my opinion I'd say that doin it solo is the best way to go. Featuring different artists on tracks on a solo album is much better than makin a whole album with just one person. Unless two goodw artists like u n b.i.g. krit made like an 8 track project..then I'd say its alright. Excuse my hypocrisy tho.
