2009 CHAMILLIONAIRE.COM PLAYOFF AWARDSIf you were keeping up with the NBA playoffs as much as I was then you will agree that this years playoff season was full of amazing moments. I shouldn't have been a surprise that Kobe would receive his 4th championship ring and that the Lakers would take home the championship trophy. We here at chamillionaire.com feel like even though only one team could win in the end, its very important to award talented players for their hard work on the court. Here are the chamillionaire.com Playoff awards hosted by the Most Valuable Puppets.
Welcome to the 2009 chamillionaire.com playoff awards ceremony. A number of awards will be given out to players we feel deserve awards for their excellent play in this years playoffs. You may feel like some of these players do not deserve such high praise but we feel like the following players have worked hard and deserve to be awarded. Commissioner David Stern will do the honors and hand out each award.
"MOST DISAPPOINTED PLAYER AWARD"
I know we all thought that Lebron had the highest chance of stealing the victory from Kobe this year. There are so many people that just didn't want Kobe to win. You saw Lebron easily sink all them half court shots this playoff season. You just knew he had to win because the puppet commercials were already made. He should be the most disappointed player.
"ALMOST DID IT AWARD"
This award goes out to the two players that "almost did it." We haven't forgot about the slow motion "So Amazing" commercials we saw these guys featured in. There were plenty of amazing moments from both of these players but almost isn't good enough to become a Champion. Well at least they have rings in this picture below.
"I BET YOU FEEL STUPID AWARD"
This award goes out to everyone that said that Kobe couldn't win without Shaq Diesel. Looks like your lucky leprechaun didn't grant your wish this year. Maybe next year you can ask the him for a better excuse.
"SOUTHWESTERN AIRLINES DELAYED FLIGHT AWARD"
This award is for D. Howard because it seems like in this years playoffs there was not enough flight for Dwight. We were left asking where the cape was at and the only response we got is "Superman has left the building."Damn homie.
"THE MOST FEARED PLAYER AWARD"
This award goes out to the most feared player in the NBA. Ron Artest is the only player that could threaten to rip off a players head and run up on a ref after getting a technical foul because of it. You know you heard them post game interviews where he mentioned his homies that would get shot/ stabbed during basktball games. Ron Artest keeps it so hood that we made up this category just for him.
"NOTHIN BUT LUCK AWARD"
This award is given out to the player that threw up and made the luckiest shots in the playoffs. We can't count how many times he threw up a lucky shot that rattled around the rim to eventually go in. Everytime we were left upset but not really because the shot went in, but because it was him. Nobody wants to get beat by someone nicknamed "Big Baby."
"WHITE MEN CAN JUMP AWARD"
This award goes out to Chris Anderson for being a white boy with hops. He is the new school Dennis Rodman except he doesn't wear dresses and you might actually get dunked on if you're under the rim when he gets the rebound. He is the opposite of Luke Walton and not to be confused with Birdman from Cash Money.
Watching Luke Walton throw up shots made us make up this new award category. There were plenty of moments where Kobe was on the bench getting his rest that we had to witness Luke Trywalker throwing up random bricks. We don't want to hate on the kid but you get what were trying to say.....
"DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AWARD" This award goes out to this ol' 16 year old lookin' boy Rondo. How many times did you see him involved in an altercation? This year he proved that he is the ike turner of the NBA. He couldn't keep his hand to himself so we have to grant him with this award. This picture represents how we feel about him.
"THE MOST VALUABLE HACKER AWARD"
Well it looks like Rondo just won back to back awards. This award is granted to the player that had the most excessive fouls during the playoffs. We haven't forgot about you boy!! There are a bunch of players still recuperating from all of that "hacking" you were doing.
"WERE YOU GONNA GO AWARD"
This award goes out to the player that has everyone wondering what team he will play for next year. He left after his loss to Orlando without answering press conference questions or shaking hands with the opposing team. Did anyone else notice that he was wearing a NY cap when the found him? Hmmmmm
"BETTER THAN WE FIGURED AWARD"
Who would have thought that someone could actually come to Chicago and actually get some attention after number 23 retired. This kid has a bright future ahead of him.
"IM GONNA GET YOU SUCKA AWARD"
This award goes out to Ron Artest aka the Terminator. We don't know about you but we were kind of hoping that Ron & Kobe would go at it. This moment was classic and we actually thought Ron was gonna go Mike Tyson on us and bite off Kobe's ear.
"ON THE BENCH IN STYLE AWARD"
This award goes out to the player that made sitting on the bench look stylish. The Boston Celtics could have been in the finals with a healthy Kevin Garnett on the court. Unfortunatly he had to watch his team fall from the bench, but at least he did it in style. You can't lose with 10 Karat R Kelly earings in your ear. Even if your team does.
"YOU BETTER BE HEALTHY NEXT YEAR AWARD"
C'mon YAO. You are a representative for land of the Trill. If you're going to take over the legacy of Hakeem The Dream then you are gonna have to do some damage with all that height. You can't be 10 feet tall and not be dunking on everything moving. Lets go!!
"FALSE PROPHET AWARD"
This award goes out to Ray Allen aka "Reggie Thriller" for having everyone on twitter calling him "JESUS SHUTLESWORTH"everytime he threw up a shot like he could walk on water. We have the utmost respect for Ray Allen and we feel like he carries himself with respect on and off the court, but to compare him to Jesus on the court is too much.
"STOP HANDCUFFING AWARD"
This Award goes to the player that seemed to stay a little too close to the refs during the playoffs. You know its bad when pastors at churches are saying that Kobe complains about fouls too much during sermons. Michael Jordan used to do the same amount of complaining to the refs and it seemed to have worked for him. Maybe Kobe was taking notes from his air-ness.
"THE INVISIBLE MAN AWARD"
This award goes to the giant that seemed to be invisible in this playoff season. Tracy McGrady. No explanation needed. Get right or we goin' in on you next year.
"TOO COOL AWARD"
This award goes out to Carmelo Anthony. The "Mello" nickname fits him too well.He's so laid back that we couldn't really see him getting a championship this year.
"EMOTION AWARD"
This award goes to the player that seemed to show the most emotion on and off the court. We have no idea what he says when he talks to himself, but judging by the emotions on his face he means business. A picture is worth a thousand words.
"NO QUESTION AWARD"
This award is given to Allen Iverson aka The Answer. Where there is no question there is no answer and Allen Iverson is our favorite player that just can't seem to make it to the finals.
There is no question that he will be in the same situation next year if he doesn't stay healthy.
"DYNAMIC DUO AWARD"
This award goes out to the Batman & Robin of this years Playoffs. That Pick & Roll play seemed to work everytime. I know you Kobe haters were sick when Gasol got that behind the back/ no look pass from Kobe.
"LISTEN & LEARN AWARD"
This award goes out to the Boston Celtics. We told you that you would receive a payback check from last year. Listen to this advice and tell Rondo to stop doing all that sneaky fouling.
"MOST VALUABLE COACH"
No explanation needed. You know what it is (T.I Tone)
"DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH AWARD"
D. Fisher and Lamar Odom are both tied for this award. They both came through in the cluth and proved that they are good supporting cast members on the Lakers. I know that last minute Fisher shot had all you Laker haters feeling sick.
"THE BAND AID CAN'T FIX IT AWARD"
This award goes to one of the best players in the NBA. He jumped on top of score tables after winning shots and wore colorful bandads until they were banned by the NBA, but it just wasn't enough. Maybe next year D Wade will come back hard enough to get a championship. If he would have signed with Nike he would have at least got a puppet.
"BOW DOWN TO THE BENCH AWARD"
This award goes out to the most valuable bench warmers in the league. When you play behind Kobe then you won't get much playing time, so you have to make the best of the ten seconds you get to play. Shout out to Lakers bench.
And now are award ceremony has reached the end. We would like to thank all of the participants and everyone that accepted an award. Special shout-out to all the Boston Fans that were talking trash last year. Better luck next time. We would have given some awards to some of the players on the Spurs and the Mavericks but we couldn't really remember any of the players (*Ducks). Having actually GONE to eastern conference finals games, which most people on here probably cannot say, I can say you are dead on the money with the first award. Lebron should be disappointed, but not in himself, as he did everything he could. He should be disappointed in his team and coach (coach. haha as if he even has one. When you let your assistant draw up plays in the conference finals, something is wrong with that picture!)
AMEN on Rondo! I still dont get how he didnt get suspended for WHIPPING K. Heinrich into the scoring table in the 1st round.
All in all, great awards. I agree with pretty much all of them.
The next year award (assuming you cant say the Lakers will repeat or the Magic will get back) should definitely be the celtics, Rockets, or Nuggets.
I mean lets face it: With KG, the Celts go to the Finals. WITHOUT Yao, the rockets pushed the lake show to 7. WITH him, they probably COULD have beat LA

Okay, first off, Rondo should get the Biggest Bitch Award. He fouls too much and falls down when he wasn't fouled. Secondly, lifelong Bulls fan here, great choice for M.V.Coach award and D Rose pick. Third, HILARIOUS Big Baby comments. Last, BOOM BOOM PAU and the Lakers bench were great. Honestly Fischer should have got the ball in more game deciding plays, escpecially the Kobe get blocked and cry about it play. And Kobe was a dissappointing All-Time Great Player.

While I agree with most of these awards, there are some lame points made.
Big Baby making lucky shots? Come on man, any basketball fan should stop himself in his foolish tracks to accuse any player of making "lucky" sots.
Secondly, how can you say "almost" isn't enough when talking about LeBron? I know your a HUGE Kobe fan, but lets get a couple points clear. Kobe did it without Shaq, and was undoubtedly the best player on the Laker team. However, his team pulled their weight. If Kobe Bryant switched spots on the Cavs, you know damn good and well they wouldn't even be near a play-off caliber team. LeBron is a better all around player than Kobe, no matter how much of a fanboy it makes me sound, or how hurt the Kobe fans get. The stats don't lie, especially when you take a gander at the rest of the Cavs line-up stats.
Oh and Boston will kill it next year. I didn't understand the "payback" letter as the team who needed to deliver it did not. Do you really think a KG equipped Celts would fall to the Lakers? Oh well, 17>15.
